In April of 2003 the senior class at Ohio Valley Christian School participated in a missions project at a small orphanage in Mexico not far from the U.S. border. The name of the orphanage is Mission Evangelica Emanuel. In April of 2006 the senior class again visited the mission. This year were able to raise over $2200 for the mission through the generous support of many friends of Ohio Valley Christian School.
This made it possible to deliver food and other basic supplies to the mission. As a work project, we painted part of the exterior wall of the mission. After the work was completed were had a time of praise and worship in the chapel next to the orphanage with Pastor Matt Townsend delivering a an encouraging message from God's Word. We enjoyed the afternoon of service and fellowship with the staff and residents of the orphanage. The folks there expressed generous gratitude for our visit and helping to provide for their needs. Our seniors were richly blessed by having this opportunity to minister to the children at Mission Evangelica Emanuel. A hearty thank you goes out to all who made this mission trip possible.
