School Administrator

The OVCS Board seeks applicants for the role of Administrator as described in the First Baptist Church
Constitution. The Administrator shall work under the supervision of the School Board in accord with adopted policies. The Administrator shall maintain an environment promoting Biblical values, character, responsibility, leadership, high academic standards, and extracurricular activities. The Administrator is the overseer of the school, both educationally and administratively to whom all of the school's professional and non-professional staff are ultimately accountable. Other duties related to these responsibilities may be assigned by the Board. The Administrator should possess a current teaching credential with a minimum of three years full-time experience as a classroom teacher. The Administrator should also have, or be pursuing, a Masters Degree or a more advanced degree with training in Bible, education, and Christian school administration. Music/Art Teacher(s)

Ohio Valley Christian School seeks a full or part/time Music teacher and/or Art teacher for grades PK-12, providing instruction for elementary grades once or twice per week.
OVCS also seeks instructor(s) for middle school/high school students in Band and Choir. The band meets two or three times per week, and choir alternates days with band.
Candidates should have a firm grasp of how to provide instruction from a Biblical worldview while integrating best practices in education. A successful candidate should be able to maintain a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth and to establish effective rapport with pupils while maintaining proper classroom management. A Bachelor's degree in any field is required, a degree in music/art/humanities is preferred. Athletic Director

Ohio Valley Christian School seeks candidates for the position of Athletic Director. This individual will oversee all aspects of athletic programs (including, but not limited to basketball, cheerleading, soccer, track and field, and volleyball) in a way that supports the mission statement of Ohio Valley Christian School. Additional instructional roles in physical health and exercise for various school grades are expected. A Bachelor's degree in any field is required. High School Teacher

Ohio Valley Christian School seeks full or part/time teachers for classes in grades 7-12. This position/these positions will provide instruction for high school students in some of the following classes: Speech, Health/First Aid, Music Appreciation, Earth Science, Life Science, Physical Science, STEM class, Yearbook advisor, Computer Applications 1 and 2, and Study Hall supervisor. Candidates should have a firm grasp of how to provide instruction from a Biblical worldview while integrating best practices in education. Elementary Aids

Ohio Valley Christian School seeks full or part time aids for elementary grades and classrooms. This position/these positions will provide assistance to classroom teachers in a variety of ways including, but not limited to: student help, classroom organization, student work organization, and occasional classroom supervision. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in intervention. Candidates should have a firm grasp of how to provide instructional support from a Biblical worldview while assisting to integrate best practices in education. A successful candidate should be able to receive instruction and guidance from the classroom teacher, complete tasks as needed by teacher/administration, and be a team player, focusing on student achievement. Substitute Teacher

The position is responsible for the full schedule of the classroom teacher. The Substitute Teacher is to implement the daily instructional plans of the classroom teacher in an effective manner; to maintain a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; to establish effective rapport with pupils while maintaining proper classroom management.
