As a member of the West Virginia Christian Education Association (WVCEA), Ohio Valley Christian School is now providing homeschool students the opportunity to be a part of interaction and development in the school culture beginning in the 2023-24 school year!

One of the events that we value during the school day is the regularly scheduled chapel meetings, taking place on Thursdays this school year (2:24-3:05). During this time, students will come together and focus on the most important part of OVCS: Jesus Christ and His gospel! Any homeschool student who is a member of a middle school or varsity sport team must attend the weekly chapel meeting. This will offer teams a chance to continue in a spirit of unity as they honor the living God together!

Additionally, all homeschool students are invited to enroll in courses of interest at OVCS to supplement coursework in their regular educational programs. We offer courses in art, band, choir, speech, yearbook, and Bible, as well as other electives! This will extend to other extracurricular opportunities such as field trips and other activities along with possibilities for service opportunities such as elementary aids!

We hope to continue to build connections between all families and students as we’re all working to train up our children in a godly manner (Prov. 22.6). It is our prayer that these additional opportunities will help to grow stronger bonds and friendships between teammates!
